From Dearborn headquarters, a parade of Mustangs from 1964 to present took off for a 30-min police-escorted drive to Flat Rock complex. At the parking lot, these 62 iconic cars were parked to spell out ‘10,000,000’, notably part of the symbolic numbers were the first Mustang ever produced and the 2019 Wimbledon White GT V8 six-speed manual convertible who placed itself in history as the 10 millionth Mustang.

In the US, Mustang is the bestselling sports car of the last 50 years and the world’s top-selling for the past three years. You think of the vehicle, it’s changed the perception because of its popularity.’

During its 54-year production history, the Mustang was built in San Jose, California, and Metuchen, New Jersey, as well as at the original Mustang production facility in Dearborn. These days, Flat Rock is the home of the Mustang.

1,000HP Mazzanti Millecavalli Supercar Thu, 16 Jun 2016 15:17:45 +0000 Mazzanti Millecavalli

We’ve just posted something about the Lamborghini Centenario about its virtual debut at Forza Horizon 3, however, there’s new super car that also came from the land of Ferrari, Maserati, Pagani and the latter, meet the ‘amazingly Italian’ Millecavalli boasting 1,000 horsepower prowess.

The hypercar is powered by a 7.2-liter twin-turbo V8, that’s capable of tire-munching power of 1,000hp and 1,199Nm —-that’s interestingly LaFerrari’s 950hp, 899Nm V12-engined hybrid hypercar. It’s just 1,300kg fitted with a six-speed sequential gearbox on-board, where it can launch from 0 to 100kph off in just 2.7 seconds at top speed of 402kph.

Mazzanti Millecavalli

If you’ve reached that top speed, so how the car can be stopped? Glad there’s a firm called Brembo, it’s an acknowledged world leader and innovator in the field of automotive disc brake technology. The car maker claims that the Mazzanti at 300kph can be stopped to rest in 7 seconds.

As of the moment, there are scarce details about the company, but from its aesthetics inside and out, there’s more to look forward from supercar fabricator Luca Mazzanti and classic car restorer Walter Faralli.

There’s no official price tag as of the moment, but it’s very limited that the car maker will just produce 25 units in which three have already been sold. So if you’re eying to get your hands on the ‘amazingly Italian’ hypercar better be quick to order one.

]]> Centenario is the featured cover car of Forza Horizon 3 Thu, 16 Jun 2016 13:38:47 +0000 Lamborghini Centenario

The obscenely eye-catching Lamborghini Centenario is the featured car cover of E3’s recently unveiled racing game Forza Horizon 3. It’s an exclusive chance to virtually experience the supercar before its official tire marks hit the road. And if you’ve been on the Xbox’s E3 event, the car itself is on display for the first time in North America.

The Centenario demonstrates Lamborghini’s innovative design and engineering competencies. Using the V12 architecture, the Centenario’s naturally aspirated engine produces 770 hp and powers from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds with a top speed of more than 350 km/h. Braking from 100 km/h to standstill is achieved in 30 meters. A monocoque and body in full carbon fiber provide a low weight of 1,520 kg and a weight to power ratio of just 1.97 kg/hp. With permanent four-wheel drive, the Centenario adopts a new Lamborghini rear-wheel steering system.

For the Forza Horizon 3, players can highly customize the race events to explore the rugged terrain of Australia. There are over 350 of the world’s greatest cars that you and your friends can enjoy and build the world’s greatest automotive festival.

Forza Horizon 3 is available worldwide on September 27, 2016 as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.

In the Forza Horizon 2, the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 is the super sportscar cover and treated a ‘hero car’ of the game. It looks like the game label and Lamborghini had a very successful partnership and we can look forward for more Italian super cars to grace its cover.

NASCAR Looking Closely at Safety Standards Following Crashes Thu, 09 Apr 2015 00:42:34 +0000 The auto racing industry lost a number of professional drivers over the years. While Max Mosley and others worked effortlessly to create a series of safety standards for Formula 1 racers, drivers in other organizations found that their events lacked the same level of protection that Formula 1 drivers have. Due in part to a recent incident that occurred during the Daytona 500, NASCAR officials plan to look closely at the safety standards currently in place to determine what they should do next. This may lead to new regulations for drivers currently involved in the sport.

Former Accidents

Legendary auto racer Richard Petty saw his family legacy continue over the years. The son of driver Lee Petty, Richard watched as his son Kyle and his grandson Adam later become racers. Adam sadly passed away in an accident while practicing for an upcoming race, which led to NASCAR introducing some new safety regulations. Fans also watched the heartbreaking death of Dale Earnhardt. Earnhardt wrecked while racing in the Daytona 500 and later died at a nearby hospital. NASCAR officials quickly created new racing harnesses and barriers to keep drivers safer.

2015 Kyle Busch Accident

Kyle Busch, driver of the number 18 M&M Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, took part in the Xfinity racing series event at Daytona International Speedway the night before the Daytona 500. With just a handful of laps left in the race, he found himself involved in an accident with another car, which pushed his own car across the track and into one of the barriers. Despite the promise NASCAR made to keep its drivers safe, track officials pulled Busch from his car and rushed him to the hospital. Busch later underwent multiple surgeries and announced that he suffered major damage to both legs that would keep him from competing for several months.

What Happens Next?

Despite the efforts that Mosley and others made to keep drivers in F-1 and other series safe, NASCAR is clearly still behind on the times. Daytona track officials announced plans to install better barriers all around the track, and other track officials announced similar plans for this year and for the 2016 season. Dale Earnhardt Junior, Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart and other drivers urged NASCAR to look into its current regulations and find new products for drivers. NASCAR will continue investigating and searching for ways to protect the drivers in all its series.

One of the cars most interesting features is a fighter plane-like heads-up display for the driver. In addition, the carbon fibre steering wheel also has a display insert with even more information for the driver.

3. Ferrari F80 concept

With the LaFerrari being debuted over 8 months ago, the automotive community was hungry for a new Ferarri concept. Well, chief designer Adriano Raeli and Ferrari did not disappoint with the unveiling of their beautiful F80 Supercar concept. The F80 looks like it has come from the future with the styled air intakes taken unimaginable further than ever before.

If the insane styling doesn’t impress, the proposed performance statistics will. The F80 will feature a staggering 1,200 horsepower powerhouse that will propel the car to its 310mph top speed. With a weight of a little over 1,700 pounds, the F80 will reach from 0 to 62mph in just 2.2 seconds.

The F80 will ditch the traditional naturally aspirated V12 engine for hybrid drivetrain. The Hybrid drivetrain will feature a 900 horsepower twin-turbo V8 with a 300 horsepower KERS system.

Ferrari F12 TRS unveiled Mon, 23 Jun 2014 15:12:56 +0000 Ferrari F12 TRS

Ferrari has just unveiled its latest one-off model —-the F12 TRS at Ferrari Cavalcade an annual driving tour around Italy exclusive for its clients. It’s inspired by the 1957 250 Testa Rossa which was developed “at a client’s request as an extreme, two-seater, open-top sports barchetta.”

The new supercar is based from F12 Berlinetta, which is tailored for a different front end that features a display window to showcase the red cylinder heads of the V12 engine and a dark panoramic glass band that makes a great contrast from its iconic red body with a specially developed paint. On its back, long fuselage fairings run behind the headrests and into the rear spoiler. From the front a smooth ramp tunnels from interior to exterior creating a longitudinal aerodynamic channel to deliver a venturi effect through a vent under the spoiler.

Running with same V12 engine as the F12 Berlinetta’s, the F12 TRS has the same performance figures, including a 0-to-100kph acceleration time of 3.1 seconds with 200kph achieved in 8.1 seconds.

In the end, the interior have been minimized, while the glove compartment, central air vents, mats, audio system, and window controls have all been removed. The finish of black-matte carbon fiber, leather and Alcantara have been a norm for Ferraris.
