LA Auto Show: Mazda to unveil all-new CX-3

Posted on 29 October 2014 by Tony Santos

Early on the upcoming 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, Mazda is reported to officially announced a new breed of compact crossover under its Kodo Soul of Motion design language as well geared with all range of Skyactiv technology –but the interesting part, it’s not the CX-5 but instead a mini-crossover under a new moniker of CX-3.

Based from the automaker’s naming convention, CX-3 most likely will be in the same body class of the CX-5 but would probably smaller. If you can remember the Mazda 2 launched only few months earlier, we can also assume that the new unit might be based on it.

As of the moment, there are still scarce details about the all-new CX-3 but Mazda did reveal that it will feature it’s award-winning Skyactiv technology and new design language that has been evolved to produce a sharper form with an enhanced sense of speed.

More likely we would be getting plenty of exposures for CX-3 until it’s officially unveiled in the LA Auto Show, just to build the right hype for the crossover. Watch this space for more details, we’ll keep you posted.
