Mitsubishi have just outed its latest EVO X FQ-440 MR special edition to commemorate the company’s 40th anniversary in the UK.

The “special edition” added on its moniker suggests that you can expect drastic performance and cosmetic design enhancements. And just for you to know, there will be only lucky 40 units that will produced with a starting price of £50,000 though there are scarce information regarding its availability.

Bragging as a limited edition, under the hood it will sports a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a bespoke ECU re-map that was tuned to boosts power up to 440bhp —-making it the most powerful production Evo ever. It will also feature a new HKS turbo along with a Janspeed exhaust system, intake and intercooler.

The 2.0 liter turbo engine will be fitted by a six-speed twin-clutch sports shift transmission and it’s a permanent four-wheel drive with an 18-inch EVO-ish wheel. At this speed class, the car is lowered to about 35mm(front) and 30mm(rear) compared from the standard model to adapt its speed and roll in corners.

On its interior, the seats are Recaro leather bucket that will comfortably hold you in place while the dashboard is equipped with a 7-inch LCD touchscreen and perfectly tied up with 8-speaker sound system. These 40 limited units will be also have a data recorder which is connected through on-board diagnostic system.

We hope that there will be other color selection but apparently the special edition EVO X will be available in Frost White with standard with Mitsubishi’s 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.
