At the 84th International Geneva Motor Show, Lexus had just unveiled a racing beast with the new RC F GT3 racing concept. It’s based from Lexus recently introduced RC F, a high performance coupe that was engineered to meet Group GT3 international racing standards.

The Lexus RC F GT3 racing concept weighs just 2,755.8 lbs and comes with an enhanced version of the base RC F’s V8 engine which is capable of propelling the racing car with 540 horsepower.

Here are some of the basics specifications of the new Lexus RC F Racing Concept:

  • Length 4,705 mm/ 185.2 in
  • Width 2,000 mm/78.7 in
  • Height 1,270 mm/50 in
  • Weight 1,250 kg/2,755.8 lbs
  • Wheelbase 2,730 mm/107.5 in
  • Engine V8 gasoline engine
  • Horsepower 540+ hp (397kw)

Starting 2015, you’ll hear Lexus GT3-compliant cars roaring on race tracks as the company will soon supply on racing teams. And this year Lexus will start testing these racing vehicles.

Lexus is expected to be on international racing competitions such as the 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance race in Germany and the Super Taikyu Endurance and Super GT series in Japan.
