2013 Mitsubishi ASX unveiled in Australia

This year’s refreshed Mitsubishi ASX has been launched in the Australian market gearing for the compact-sized SUVs. The latest ASX will be coming in 4WD (Diesel), 2WD and 2WD Aspire gas models.

ASX 4WD will be running a 1.8-liter turbodiesel engine that is capable of 147 hp (110 kW / 149 PS) and a peak torque of 221 lb-ft (300 Nm). The engine is fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox that allows the car to consume 5.7 liters / 100 km and have CO2 emissions efficiency of 149 g/km.

The gasoline models which includes the ASX 2WD and 2WD Aspire, will both feature a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that is fitted with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox, providing 147 hp (110 kW / 149 PS) and 145 lb-ft (197 Nm) of torque. Looking on the fuel efficiency level considering both with manual and CVT transmission, the two models records 7.9 liters / 100 km and 7.7 liters / 100 km, respectively.

Notable features of the new 2013 ASX regarding safety were an electronic brake distribution, hill start control system, RISE – Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution structure, seven airbags and ASTC – Active Stability Control with Traction Control.
