2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider to debut at Goodwood

Besides from the hype of TRD and GRMN Sports tuned Toyota GT86s slated for Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren Automotive have just announced that it will be introducing too, the 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider on the said event.

“The 12C Spider is built on the same groundbreaking carbon fiber MonoCell chassis as the coupe,” according to McLaren. “With all of the advanced technology from the 12C coupe incorporated into the 12C Spider it will be just as dynamic as the coupe to drive.”

There’s no TRD specifics for Toyota GT86, but watch out for the 12C Spider that harvest its power from its enhanced twin-turbo V8 engine fitted with a modified 7-speed SSG transmission capable of kicking out 616-hp, this make sense that it can go 0 to 60mph for just 3 seconds.

The 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button will be driving the 12C Spider for the Festival of Speed.
