2013 Jaguar XJ gets official with 335-hp supercharged V6

Jaguar has just outed the new 2013 XJ boasting a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 capable of 335 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, with a 0-60 mph time of 5.7 seconds. The previous 5.0-liter V8 engine is capable of 380 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, much powerful though the latest engine is more efficient with combined fuel economy figure of 25 mpg. XJ’s new engine will be fitted with also a new 8-speed automatic XF transmission on all of the XJ variants. Also, ‘Intelligent Stop-Start’ feature will be available along with 825W sound system, developed in conjunction with Meridian. Jaguar also tuned the spring and damper tunes with remapped software.

Available on Portfolio and Supersport variant, the new 2013 Jaguar XJ is set for September release in the UK, however, there is still no word on the pricing and availability when the XJ comes to the US.
