Volvo S60 Polestar Concept

Polestar have just officially unveiled its tuned version of Volvo S60 packed with high-level dynamic handling and performance.

“It’s a car developed with our own preferences in mind which, we from experience know, are shared by a group of active drivers,” said Christian Dahl, CEO and founder of Polestar.

Polestar take their expert hands tuning the core components such inlet manifold, air intake, cylinder head, combustion chambers, and added turbo and a stainless steel exhaust system to turn their version of Volvo S60 into a concept Volvo Polestar racing driver Robert Dahlgren, calls “a huge leap forward in terms of handling and performance. It is, by far, the most impressive street Volvo I’ve ever driven. But I must also say that the genuine Volvo feeling is still there.”

Under the hood, Polestar’s Volvo S60 churns out 508-hp at 6500rpm and 424 lb-ft at 5500rpm, allowing for a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed that exceeds 186mph.

The Polestar’s S60 concept customized for a certain buyer have been showcased at Gothenburg CityArena, the only available unit for now.
