Mercedes-Benz AMG version of 2013 A-Class announced

Geneva Motor Show 2012 officially introduced the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class and as we patiently waits for the AMG version, the company have officially announced the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG.

The A45 AMG will come equipped with M133 technically the 2.0L four-banger equipped with a BorgWarner twin-scroll turbocharger powering the four-wheel system. The setup is fitted with seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission harvesting the 350hp and 295 lb-ft of torque off the wheels.

“It will be the most powerful engine in its class,” and will be on noble rank with the BMW M135i and the Audi RS3 according to Mercedes AMG’s chief Ola Källenius,

Unfortunately, like the Audi RS4 Avant –the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG will not be available on the North American market.
