The Italian-automaker Ferrari is known for their road-beast sportcars, but today the company proves their kind heart for the families of victims of the earthquake that hit the Emilia-Romagna region last May 20, 2012. Ferrari have just revealed that it will be opening an online auction to raise funds for the earthquake victims.

“In the days leading up to the auction next week, www.ferraristore.com will dedicate a section to this important initiative which sets out to contribute significant sums to those families who have lost loved ones,” according to Ferrari. The dedicated section on the site is aimed for several of its clients and collectors from around the world contacted the company to offer donations.

The auction highlight will include a rare Ferrari 599XX Evo, though we don’t have specific details how unique this auto-masterpiece will be. A V8 engine is also included in the bidding, along with bunch of F1 memorabilias which includes racing suits and helmets donated by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.
