Hyundai Veloster

Unveiled at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the new Hyundai Veloster Coupe which features very unique designs, efficient engine, lots of cool stuffs and safety features.

Let’s start with the exterior, the new veloster features a stealth 3rd door at the passenger side which not only adds unique style on the car but provides easy access for rear-seat passengers. At the front is the aggressive front grille, bordered by distinctive LED headlight and a slanting hood with dual scoops. At the top is the panoramic sunroof which can be open to let fresh air and sunlight to come in.

The new hyundai veloster rides on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels with painted inserts that can be of different colors to match the body color. At the rear of the Veloster is the dual centered chrome-tipped exhaust which significantly adds aggressiveness to the car. Installed at the back is the rearview camera with backup warning sensors which sends live image to the 7-inch touchscreen in the center console. While the Veloster’s rear hatch and split fold-down rear seats give versatility and space.

Inside of the car is the best-in-class total interior volume. The Veloster features a 450-watt Dimension AM/FM/XM Satellite Radio/CD/MP3 audio system with 8 speakers including an 8-inch subwoofer. While at the center console is the huge 7-inch multimedia touchscreen which gives access to information and entertainment. The 7-inch touchscreen is also coupled with an advanced navigation system with voice recognition capability which upon saying an address it will display a detailed map with a recommended route. Another cool features are the Pandora Internet Radio, Gracenote technology and Blue Link technology.

Under the hood  of the Veloster is the 1.6L Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine capable of making 138 hp and delivers up to 40 mpg in highway. The power is smoothly managed by a 6-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission with paddle shifters and features a Hillstart Assist Control system. Its sport-tuned suspension features gas-charged hydraulic shock absorbers for a sportier ride while its large front and rear stabilizer bars reduce body roll and improve handling and control on the curves.

The new Hyundai Veloster is also packed with lots of safety features which include; SOS Emergency Assistance, Automatic Collision and Theft Notification, Remote Vehicle Start, six airbags, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and Brake Assist system.
