Ram Long-Hauler Concept Truck

Chrysler Group LLC has released its newest and biggest Ram truck, the Ram Long-Hauler Concept Truck which stands 6.6 ft in height and 24 ft in length with a curb weight of 9,300 lbs.

The Ram Long-Hauler Concept Truck is basically a Class 5 Ram 5500 Crew Cab which has been converted into a Mega Cab passenger compartment, added with an 8-foot box and its fuel tank upgraded into a mid-ship fuel tank with a fuel capacity of 170 gallons. Its wheelbase measures 16.45 feet with 37,500 Gross Combined Weight Rating.

The Ram Long-Hauler Concept Truck is designed for towing multiple or heavy trailers for long distances. To deliver that task, its power comes from a 6.7L 6-cylinder High Output Cummins Turbo Diesel engine with a maximum torque of 800 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a 6-speed, Aisin AS68RC automatic transmission with four-wheel-drive transfer coupled to a 4.88 Dana 110 axle with dual rear wheels.

Inside, the Ram Long-Hauler Concept Truck comes quiet with an upgraded NVH package. The package also includes a 2+2 leather seat, power-adjustable footrests for rear passengers, and a rear center console that includes a refrigerator, cup holders and tray tables. It also features 115V and 12V outlets front and rear, interior Wi-Fi and a DVD player with overhead screen for rear seat passengers. The rear seats and console also fold flat for additional storage.
