Porsche has unveiled its new 2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid at the 2011 New York Auto Show which is set to compete against the likes of BMW ActiveHybrid 750i, Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid, and Audi A8 Hybrid.

Aside from having an average fuel economy of 34.5 mpg combined, Panamera S Hybrid’s impressive performance figures will surely steal customers away from its competitors.

The 2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid is powered by a 3.0L supercharged V6 engine capable of making 333-hp coupled with a 47-hp electric-motor. The electric motor is powered by nickel metal hydride battery that stores energy from braking and other driving situations allowing Panamera to travel on pure electricity for one mile at speeds of just over 50 mph. Panamera S Hybrid uses an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission, which allows it to run from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 167 mph.

Price for 2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid starts at $95,000 which will begin in late 2011 at the United States.
