Callaway Cars Inc., an engine design company known for their modification of Chevrolet cars including the Corvette and Camaro, has released some details of its first-ever high-performance Chevrolet Silverado full-size pickup.

The new Callway 2011 Chevrolet Silverado features an increased power for both 5.3L V8 and 6.2L V8 standard variants with the help of Eaton’s Twin Vortices Series roots-type superchargers. The same superchargers used in the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 and Cadillac CTS-V. The 5.3L V8 Callaway Chevrolet Silverado now makes 450-hp with a maximum torque of 450 lb-ft while the 6.2L V8 model makes 540-hp with a maximum torque of 522 lb-ft not compromising the fuel economy ratings of the standard Silverados.

Furthermore, Callaway Chevrolet Silverado also features an upgraded air-to-liquid intercooler system plus high-capacity fuel injectors and a high-flow air intake system. The Callaway Silverado package starts at $15,995, before options.
