BMW 3-Series Heat Testing on Death Valley

Posted on 06 April 2011 by Tony Santos

To ensure better handling and sustaining performance with extreme environmental conditions, BMW subjected each of their cars to a heat testing conducted on the hottest place on earth, the Death Valley in California.

Death Valley holds the record for the highest reliably reported temperature in the Western hemisphere – 134 °F. Wow, you surely can fry an egg with that temperature. But that’s not what makes this heat testing more interesting, in the video you’re about to see is the camouflaged 2012 BMW 3-Series which is set to be unleashed later this year, most probably at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
