Volkswagen Golf R Study

Because of its high demand and success, Volkswagen has decided to develop four new high-end study versions of the Volkswagen Golf R which were unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

The four Golf R models are painted in “Oryx White,” “Carbon Steel Grey,” “Space Grey,” and “Aplomb Blue” complemented with Nappa leather interiors and 19-inch wheels.

The Volkswagen Golf R study only focuses on the design modifications so no upgrades were made for the engine setup. It is still powered by a 2.0L TSI direct-injected and turbocharged 4-cylinder engine capable of producing 266-hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a DSG dual-clutch 6-speed manual transmission, the Golf R can run from 0-62 mph in 5.5 seconds with a top speed limited to 155 mph.
