NOVITEC ROSSO RACE 606

Novitec Rosso, a tuning company of Ferrari has done again an impressive modifications to one of Ferrari’s leading sport car.

The Ferrari California has been further modified making it more powerful. Now, it bears the name of Race 606 which will make its world debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

What makes Race 606 more powerful than its predecessor is that, it can reach an impressive power of 606 hp at 7,900 rpm and a torque of 603 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Those figures are way up from the standard 460 Hp and 485 Nm. Race 606 can hit 0-100 Km/h in less than 3.8 seconds with top speed of 325 km/h.

Under the hood, the German tuners put a 4.3-litre V8 supercharged engine along with a custom compressor system that consists of a mechanical supercharger driven by the crankshaft via a cogged V-belt, a water to air intercooler, a newly designed intake manifold and larger injectors. Also a flap controlled exhaust system with sport catalyst has been fitted to its engine for better exhaust-gas flow.

For a car powerful like this, it needs a very good aerodynamics. Novitec use body parts made in a matte clear-coated carbon-fiber to improve its aerodynamics. The matte clear-coat finish makes the body parts light but highly resistant. These parts include the front and rear spoilers along with the rear diffuser, rocker panel blades, side air outlets in the front fenders, mirror covers and rear molding, a hood centerpiece, radiator grille, the outer skin of the folding hardtop, and the taillight surrounds.

For the wheels Novitec installed a staggered combination of size 9Jx21 for the front and in size 11.5Jx22 for the rear axle.

Its interior can also be customized which include scuff plates made from the same material as the aerodynamic-enhancement components and longer shift paddles on the steering wheel.
