MINI Rocketman Concept

The 2011 Geneva Motor Show is filled with new promising concept cars packed with technologies pointing towards the future of automotive design, among them is the Mini Rocketman Concept.

The Mini Rocketman Concept is inspired by the classic Mini in terms of size, it measures approximately 3 meters in length. The Mini advanced construction techniques aim to build a subcompact car providing the maximum amount of room but taking only the smallest possible space on urban areas.

The Mini Rocketman Concept is a 3+1 seater with 3 wide-opening doors with double-hinge joints. It has a glass roof supported by a carbon spaceframe which minimized the weight for achieving outstanding efficiency. Its luggage capacity can be extended through a retractable drawer which can be pulled out to allow more luggage space. This compact design allow it to manage a fuel-economy of 78 mpg (in U.S. terms).
