In a recent interview with Porsche CEO Matthias Mueller, he gave some insight for the company’s future plan for Panamera Sedan lineup. Porsche current Panamera Sedan model which celebrates its debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show is the 2012 Panamera S Hybrid which according to them is the most fuel efficient Porsche has ever produced.

In the year 2015, Porsche is planning to upgrade the Panamera and give it a more sportier look. Porsche is looking forward to give Panamera a long-wheel-base version or a two-door coupelike version.

The 2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid is powered by a 3.0L supercharged V6 engine capable of making 333-hp coupled with a 47-hp electric-motor. The electric motor is powered by nickel metal hydride battery that stores energy from braking and other driving situations allowing Panamera to travel on pure electricity for one mile at speeds of just over 50 mph. Panamera S Hybrid uses an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission, which allows it to run from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 167 mph. It has a combined fuel-economy of 34.5 mpg.

Price for 2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid starts at $95,000 which will begin in late 2011 at the United States.
