2012 HEICO SPORTIV Volvo V60

Heico Sportiv, Volvo’s official tuning partner since 2008 has released a one of a kind modified version of the Volvo V60 D3 which features exterior and interior upgrades, engine tuning, new braking system and a lot more.

Debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Heico Sportiv Volvo V60 D3 has presented itself sporty yet luxurious. If features Heico Sportiv’s extensive tuning elements which include the new polyurethane plastic body-kit (PUR-R-RIM) consisting of a two-piece front spoiler and rear apron with a diffusor finish, including a true carbon inlay. It rides on a set of VOLUTION® VII. 8×19″ light-alloy wheels with Black Diamond Cut Matt finish wrapped in 245/35R19 Pirelli tires. The wheels are coupled with the new sports suspension that lowers the ride by up to 30 mm, while providing a booming sound is the new 4-pipe stainless steel exhaust system.

The Heico Sportiv Volvo V60 also features a newly designed sports braking system with aluminum calipers fitted with six pistons. The internally ventilated 370 mm diameter brake disks not only provide better response in wet weather but also improved heat dissipation. Thus the new braking system provides deceleration values of over 10.35 m/s² resulting to a much shorter braking distance than series-production vehicles.

For the engine, it gets Heico Sportiv’s proprietary e.motion 2.0 high efficiency tuning system which features Plug & Play technology for quick and easy installation and activation. The system offers driving modes via the Heico Performance Button (HPB). First is the “Eco” mode (illuminated in green), this offers consumption-optimized engine management based on series-production values and is designed for maximum driving efficiency. Second is the “Sport” mode (white) which offers an increase from 304 hp to 330 hp for the T6 engine. Lastly is the “Performance” mode (blue) which offers an even-more dynamic electronic-accelerator control on top of the tuning.

While inside the car is a complete leather interior redesign. The sports seats now have extended leg-rest areas and sharper contoured side rests. The door panels, dashboard and the free-floating center console are colored in “Chestnut” complemented by the Alcantara roof liner.
