More 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrids to arrive late this month

The 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrids dealership were shortly delayed due to a switch issue, but following that delay more Sonata Hybrid will be arriving late this month.

Recently President Obama has signed a bill that mandates the noise-making feature for U.S. electric-cars and hybrids. And in accordance to that, Hyundai had to remove a switch in Sonata Hybrid that can disable a noisemaker designed to warn blind pedestrians.

Power for tha 2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid comes from a 2.4L Theta II engine producing 169-hp at 6,000 rpm and 156 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. The engine is coupled with an electric motor that makes an additional 40.2-hp and 151.2 lb-ft of torque summing up to a total of 209-hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid can also operate in EV-only mode at speeds of up to 62 mph and has a fuel-economy rated at 35/40 mpg.
