ABT Sportsline R8 GT S

Colored in red, the new Spyder ABT R8 GT S presents itself as another lineup of ABT Sportsline at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show featuring a an increased power of 620 hp through an extensive weight reductions and perfect distribution.

To reduced the weight of the car, making it more efficient to achieve the highest performance, ABT Sportsline used the light yet strong carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) for its components. These includes the front skirt, rear skirt, side skirt, rear wing, air scoops, engine bonnet, exterior mirrors, front spoiler plate,windscreen frame cover, carbon inlays for covers of engine and convertible-top, as well as for the carbon inlays for the outside of the doors.

Through ABT POWER package, ABT Sportsline is able to squeezed out more power from the 5.2-liter V10 engine increasing it from 525 hp to 620 hp. It is now able to accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds with top speed of 320 km/h.

Spyder ABT R8 GT S also offers a new suspension and sports exhaust system which provides good acoustics design together with the diffuser. Spyder ABT R8 GT S rides on a set of either ABT BR wheels in 20 inches or on the ABT CR Superlight wheels in 19 inches.

For the interior Spyder ABT R8 GT S offers a red carbon sports steering wheel, centre console, shifting gate and part of the door panels. This is complemented with a new leather finish for the remaining parts of the doors and the dashboard. A combination of black and red colors are used for the seats complemented by the red safety belts and shiny door sill panels.
