Making its first appearance at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show is the Volkswagen convertible version of their Golf model, the 2012 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet.
Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet proudly presents itself with a new electro-hydraulic drive that opens and close the Golf’s top in just 9.5 seconds in motion at a speeds of up to 18.6 mph.
There are six turbocharged direct-injection engines to choose from which offers power ranging from 105-hp to 210-hp mated with either a dual-clutch transmissions or with BlueMotion technology.
In comparison with the standard Golf, the new Golf Cabriolet receives a new rear section, a lower profile roof line and more swept-back angle front windscreen frame. It also features LED rear lights like those of the GTI, automatically deploying roll-over bar, front airbags, side head/thorax airbags, knee airbag for the driver and ESP. And among those convertibles today, Golf Cabriolet is considered to be one of the quietest.
Price for the 2012 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet begins at a price of 23.625 euros or about $32,000.
